Value: Light and Shadow

Value: one of the seven elements of art. In this lesson, fifth-grade students engage in class discussion, practice fine motor skills with paint, and explore a range of values to use as reference in future projects. This one-day introductory lesson is a stepping stone to bigger and better paintings, and the worksheet and presentation are available as well.
